IDS 301 // Final Paper: Concerning Two Dimensional Plasticity in the Selling of Art to Collectors in the United States
This research paper focuses on the art market in the United States, and how certain trends have value. Its research is to provide knowledge to what collectors find more valuable when buying art. It argues that most collectors are not concerned with two dimensional plasticity, or design, but simply-- art has become a valued asset concerned for those who are willing to invest in certain artists or breed more money. There are certain non-profitable organizations and institutions that have control over the popularity of certain art in the United States. It is important for the fine artist to have knowledge of their customer's taste if willing to actually sell in the art market scene. Some business strategies will be discussed.
